비슷한 사진을 찾고, "좋아요"를 누른 사진을 즐겨찾기로 표시하고, 이용자가 확인한 사진을 삭제하려면 사진 보관함 접근이 필요합니다. 사진은 기기 안에서만 읽고 어디에도 보내지 않습니다.

BestFrame 1.2부터 앱을 고치고 개선하려고 두 가지를 분석 서비스 PostHog로 보냅니다. 앱이 비정상 종료되었을 때의 오류 보고, 그리고 개수와 정해진 값만 담은 사용 통계(처음 실행, 사진 접근 권한 선택 결과, 분석 완료 시 장면·사진 수와 걸린 시간, 정리 완료 시 남긴·삭제한 사진 수, 1.3부터 정리를 마친 화면의 같은 숫자와 그 화면을 연 시간 구간)입니다. 무작위로 만든 익명 ID와 앱·iOS 버전, 기기 모델 같은 기본 정보가 함께 갑니다. 이름이나 계정과 연결되지 않고, 광고나 추적에 쓰지 않으며, 사진·위치·파일 이름은 보내지 않습니다. 앱을 삭제하면 익명 ID도 지워집니다. 자세한 내용은 개인정보 처리방침에 있습니다.

"정리하기" 화면에서 지울 사진을 확인하고 삭제 버튼을 누른 뒤, iOS 확인 창에서 한 번 더 허용해야만 지워집니다. 앱이 마음대로 사진을 지우는 일은 없습니다. "삭제하지 않고 마치기"를 고르면 아무것도 지우지 않습니다. 즐겨찾기한 사진은 삭제 대상에 들어가지 않습니다.

네. 지운 사진은 사진 앱의 앨범 › 최근 삭제된 항목으로 옮겨지며, iOS가 정한 보관 기간(보통 30일) 안에는 복구할 수 있습니다. 항목을 열고 "복구"를 누르세요. 보관 기간이 지나거나 최근 삭제된 항목에서 직접 지운 사진은 되살릴 수 없습니다. BestFrame은 따로 사본을 보관하지 않습니다.

네. iCloud 사진이 켜져 있으면 삭제와 복구가 같은 Apple 계정의 모든 기기에 반영됩니다.

BestFrame은 사진을 분석할 때 iCloud에서 내려받지 않기 때문에, iCloud에만 있고 iPhone에 내려받지 않은 사진은 건너뜁니다. 건너뛴 사진 수는 분석 요약(예: "3장 건너뜀")에 표시됩니다. 동영상도 분석하지 않습니다. 사진 앱에서 원본을 내려받으면(또는 설정 › 사진 › 다운로드 및 원본 유지를 켜면) 앱을 다시 실행할 때 건너뛴 사진을 다시 확인합니다. 한 사진은 처음 분석을 포함해 3번까지 확인하고, 그 뒤에는 사진 수정 시각이 바뀌었을 때만 다시 확인합니다. 그래도 나타나지 않으면 설정에서 "처음부터 다시 찾기"를 누르세요.

BestFrame은 비슷한 사진이 2장 이상인 장면만 보여 줍니다. 비슷한 컷이 없는 사진과 이미 정리를 마친 장면은 나오지 않습니다. 분석은 가장 최근 사진부터 오래된 순서로 진행되며, 분석 중이거나 멈춘 동안 홈 화면에 "2024년 3월까지 확인"처럼 어디까지 확인했는지 표시됩니다. 그보다 오래된 사진은 아직 확인하지 않은 사진입니다. "선택한 사진만" 허용했다면 선택하지 않은 사진은 분석하지 않습니다.

지운 사진은 "최근 삭제된 항목"에 남아 있는 동안 계속 공간을 차지합니다. 실제 공간은 사진이 "최근 삭제된 항목"에서 완전히 지워진 뒤에 늘어납니다. 바로 비우고 싶다면 최근 삭제된 항목에서 직접 지우세요(되돌릴 수 없습니다). iCloud 사진을 쓰면 iCloud 저장 공간도 함께 줄어듭니다.

취향 학습 정보, 정리를 마친 장면의 기록, 별점 요청 기록(UserDefaults)과 분석 진행 상황(Application Support), 그리고 1.2부터 익명 ID와 아직 보내지 못한 오류 보고·사용 통계만 기기 안에 저장합니다. 사진 사본은 저장하지 않습니다. 설정에서 "취향 초기화"로 취향 정보를, "처음부터 다시 찾기"로 분석 진행 상황을 지울 수 있습니다. 정리를 마친 장면의 기록과 별점 요청 기록은 앱을 삭제해야 지워지며, 앱을 삭제하면 모두 지워집니다. 자세한 내용은 개인정보 처리방침에 있습니다.

iOS 26 이상에서는 직접 시작한 분석(사진 접근을 허용한 직후의 첫 분석, "계속 찾기", "처음부터 다시 찾기")이 앱을 벗어난 뒤에도 iOS가 허용하는 동안 이어집니다. 그 밖의 경우와 이전 iOS에서는 앱을 벗어나면 잠시 뒤 멈추고, 앱을 다시 열면 멈춘 곳부터 이어서 분석합니다. 분석 중 홈 화면의 안내 문구에서 어느 쪽인지 알 수 있습니다. 끝났을 때 알림을 받고 싶다면 "완료 알림 받기"를 누르세요. 다만 정리하며 고르던 내용은 앱을 종료하면 사라집니다(사진은 그대로입니다).

남길 사진을 고를 때마다 추천이 내 선택에 맞춰집니다. 처음 상태로 돌리고 싶다면 설정의 "취향 초기화"를 누르세요.

It needs access to find similar shots, mark photos you "Like" as Favorites, and delete the photos you confirm. Photos are read on device only and are never sent anywhere.

Yes. With limited access, BestFrame looks for similar shots only among the photos you selected. The home screen then shows "Only N selected photos are visible"; tap Change (or "Change Photos BestFrame Can See" in the menu) to pick photos again without leaving the app. You can also change this anytime in Settings › BestFrame › Photos.

Go to Settings › BestFrame › Photos, choose Full Access or Limited Access, then return to the app.

No. There's no account or server of ours, and no ads or tracking. Your photos, analysis results, and preferences stay on your iPhone.

From BestFrame 1.2, to fix and improve the app, it sends two things to the analytics service PostHog: crash reports when the app quits unexpectedly, and usage statistics that contain only counts and fixed values (first launch, the photo access you chose, scenes and photos counted and time taken when a scan finishes, photos kept and deleted when you finish cleaning up, and from 1.3 the same numbers on the completion screen and roughly how long it stayed open). A randomly generated anonymous ID and basic details such as the app and iOS version and device model go with them. Nothing is linked to your name or an account, nothing is used for ads or tracking, and no photos, locations, or file names are sent. Deleting the app also deletes the anonymous ID. Only after you review them on the Clean Up screen, tap Delete, and approve the iOS confirmation. BestFrame never deletes on its own. Choose to finish without deleting and nothing is removed. Favorites are never offered for deletion.

Yes. Deleted photos go to Albums › Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where you can recover them within the period set by iOS (usually 30 days). Open the item and tap Recover. Photos removed from Recently Deleted, or past that period, can't be recovered. BestFrame keeps no copies.

Yes. With iCloud Photos on, deletions and recoveries sync to every device signed in to the same Apple Account.

BestFrame doesn't download photos from iCloud for analysis, so photos stored only in iCloud and not downloaded to the iPhone are skipped. The scan summary shows how many were skipped (for example, "3 skipped"). Videos aren't analyzed either. After you download the originals in Photos (or turn on Settings › Photos › Download and Keep Originals), skipped photos are checked again the next time BestFrame launches. Each photo is checked up to 3 times, including the original scan, and after that only when its modification date changes. If they still don't appear, tap "Rescan Library" in Settings.

BestFrame shows only scenes with 2 or more similar photos. Photos without a similar shot, and scenes you already finished, don't appear. Scanning goes from your newest photos to older ones, and while it is running or paused the home screen shows how far it has checked, such as "Checked back to Mar 2024". Older photos haven't been checked yet. With limited access, photos you didn't select aren't analyzed.

Deleted photos keep using space while they sit in Recently Deleted. The space is reclaimed once the photos are removed from Recently Deleted. To free it right away, delete them there yourself (this can't be undone). With iCloud Photos, your iCloud storage use goes down too.

Only your taste preferences, a record of scenes you finished, rating request records (UserDefaults), scan progress (Application Support), and from 1.2 an anonymous ID plus crash reports and usage statistics not yet sent, all kept on device. No photo copies. In Settings, "Reset Personalization" clears preferences and "Rescan Library" clears scan progress. The record of finished scenes and the rating request records are removed only when you delete the app, which removes everything. See the Privacy Policy for details.

On iOS 26 or later, a scan you started yourself (the first scan right after you allow photo access, Resume, or Rescan Library) continues after you leave the app for as long as iOS allows. In other cases, and on earlier versions, scanning stops shortly after you leave and picks up where it left off when you reopen the app. The note on the home screen during a scan tells you which applies. Tap "Notify me when done" to get a notification when it finishes. Selections you're still making are cleared when the app quits (your photos are unchanged).

Suggestions adapt each time you pick the shots to keep. To start over, tap "Reset Personalization" in Settings.
